Thierry Lepercq is co-founder and CEO of Solairedirect, the first French energy company focused exclusively on solar generated electricity. The company is present at various stages of the photovoltaic value chain, from the production of solar panels to the management of solar power plants. Solairedirect installs all types of solar power facilities : from home owners, to small companies and farmers all the way to large scale solar power plants.
Solairedirect has 150 employees, 1500 residential and corporate customers and close to 300MW of solar power plants at various stages of development. The company’s first solar power plant (4.2MW) is under construction in the south of France. Solairedirect is controlled by Demeter Partners (Caisse des Dépôts), Schneider Electric and various other institutional investors.
Prior to Solairedirect, Thierry spent 20 years financing technology related companies, first at Bankers Trust in New York, then with Banque Arjil and Oddo & Cie. In 1999, he created NetsCapital, a financial advisory company which helped some 40 high tech companies raise over 400 million euros. In 2004, Thierry created Réseau Innovation Energie, a think tank with members such as Caisse des Dépôts, Suez, EDF and Gaz de France.
Thierry graduated from HEC in 1983.
